Hot Tub Delivery Day Checklist

What to prepare before your hot tub arrives and what to verify during installation.

Delivery Day Steps for Owners

Before crew arrival

  • Clear gates, walkways, and final placement area. Open paths help crews move the spa safely and efficiently.
  • Protect decking and tight turns with temporary mats. Surface protection reduces scrapes and transit damage.
  • Confirm pad is level and unobstructed. Final pad checks avoid last-minute placement resets.

During placement and handoff

  • Verify orientation for access and cover movement. Orientation mistakes are harder to correct after final setup.
  • Check side-panel service access remains reachable. Accessible panels make future maintenance much easier.
  • Document placement and serial details for records. Good records speed up warranty and service support later.

Delivery Details Depend on the Tub, the Access Path, and the Final Orientation

Delivery is never just “drop it on the pad.” Cabinet size, weight, route complexity, lift equipment, and the side that needs service access all affect what a clean delivery looks like.

  • If the final orientation changes the service side, the cover lifter direction, or where steps will sit, resolve that before the crew arrives.
  • If landscaping, fencing, or railings changed after the original site review, contact us before delivery day so there are no surprises at the gate.
  • Take photos of placement, serial numbers, and the finished setup. That helps later with warranty, service, and accessory fitment.
